Email & SMS Communications Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Santiago Retreat Center ("SRC," "we," "us," or "our") is a Catholic retreat and educational center located in Silverado, California, dedicated to providing opportunities for spiritual growth, education, fellowship, and service.

We use email and SMS text messaging to communicate with guests, retreat participants, parents and guardians, event attendees, volunteers, donors, and other individuals who interact with Santiago Retreat Center.

These Terms & Conditions explain the nature of our electronic communications, how individuals may consent to receive them, and how communication preferences may be managed.

Santiago Retreat Center offers SMS text message communications to individuals who have expressly opted in to receive them.

Depending on the messaging program for which consent was provided, SMS messages may include:

Camp registration confirmations and updates
Schedule changes or cancellations
Registration and reservation-related notifications
Important announcements affecting registered participants
Information about upcoming SRC activities and programs, where separately authorized

SMS messaging is intended to provide timely and relevant information related to Santiago Retreat Center's programs and services.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not required to purchase services, register for programs, or participate in Santiago Retreat Center activities.

4. SMS Consent and Enrollment

Individuals may opt in to SMS communications by expressly providing consent through an authorized Santiago Retreat Center registration form, online form, or other documented enrollment process.

By opting in, you authorize Santiago Retreat Center to send recurring SMS text messages to the mobile telephone number you provide, consistent with the messaging program you selected.

Consent for informational or transactional messages does not automatically authorize unrelated promotional text messaging.

5. Message Frequency and Charges

Email: The frequency of email communications varies according to program registrations, event schedules, organizational activities, and communication preferences.

SMS: Message frequency varies according to registrations, upcoming events, program activities, and relevant notifications. Messages may be recurring.

Message and data rates may apply to SMS communications according to your wireless carrier and mobile service plan.

Santiago Retreat Center does not charge a separate subscription fee for its SMS notification service.

6. Opt-Out Instructions

SMS Text Messages

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message received from Santiago Retreat Center.

After opting out, you may receive a final confirmation message. No additional messages will be sent through that SMS program unless you provide new consent.

Email Communications

You may unsubscribe from optional promotional emails or newsletters by selecting the unsubscribe link included in applicable emails or by contacting Santiago Retreat Center directly.

Opting out of optional email or SMS communications will not affect your eligibility to participate in Santiago Retreat Center programs.

Santiago Retreat Center respects the privacy of individuals receiving its electronic communications.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS opt-in information and consent will not be shared with third parties for their independent marketing activities.

We may use trusted service providers, including email delivery platforms, SMS messaging providers, registration systems, and payment processors, to administer authorized communications and services.

These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to perform authorized services, subject to appropriate privacy and security protections.

8. Message Delivery and Carrier Disclaimer

Santiago Retreat Center does not guarantee that every email or SMS message will be delivered or received.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Santiago Retreat Center reserves the right to modify or discontinue its email and SMS communication services as necessary.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes in organizational practices, technology, or applicable requirements.
